Cellar Person

Campsie RSL Group of Clubs is looking for a Cellar Person to assist and support the day-to-day operations of the Cellar and the club's bar requirements.

In this role, you will:

  • Order club liquor requirements.
  • Receipt and store deliveries.
  • Assist in general deliveries throughout the club of liquor requirements.
  • Perform monthly stocktakes and supply relevant reports to management.
  • Perform general cleaning maintenance in the store, including but not limited to dusting shelves, displays, etc.; vacuuming and sweeping floors; removing trash from store; cleaning store and cooler windows; washing shelves and bottles;
  • Implement workplace policies and procedures as directed by management.
  • Manage transfers from cellar to bars, including the recording of transfers and rotating stock.
  • Organise, receive, and accept deliveries.
  • Receive incoming goods, checking for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
  • Participate as part of a team providing services to management and patrons.
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment through the application of recognised occupational health and safety practices.
  • Perform all duties consistent with the vision, mission, values, and policies of the club and statutory requirements.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Experience, skills, and attributes (Essential)

  • Cellar experience.
  • Beer line maintenance.
  • Thorough understanding of Beer reticulation systems.
  • Knowledge of storing beer, wine, spirits.
  • Physically able to bend, crouch, kneel, and lift objects weighing up to 20 kgs when required without assistance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Proven stock management experience.
  • Full Driver's Licence.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
  • Adhere to club policies at all times.
  • Current NSW Competency Card (RSA and RCG).
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience, skills, and attributes (Desirable)

  • Demonstrated experience in applying Occupational Health and Safety initiatives in a workplace.
  • Ability to show initiative and judgement in the workplace.
  • Ability to speak a second or multiple languages.
  • Reliable transport.
