You will work closely with clients, project managers, architects and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver innovative, sustainable and practical engineering solutions.

You’ll have the autonomy to manage complex projects from concept through to completion, while helping shape the future direction of our Buildings business.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex electrical building services projects.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and contribute to the growth of long‑term business relationships.
  • Manage projects from feasibility, master planning and concept design through to construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance across project teams.

  • Undertake LV power system and lighting design using industry‑standard software including PowerCAD and AGi32/DIALux.
  • Mentor, coach and support engineers and graduates to achieve their professional development goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities for repeat and new work.
  • Support the ongoing growth, culture and strategic direction of the Electrical team.
  • Promote and uphold Stantec's quality, safety and professional standards.

To be successful for this role you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Significant experience in a building services consulting environment.
  • Proven experience leading and delivering complex building projects.
  • Understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and relevant industry regulations would be highly regarded.
  • Expertise in LV power system and lighting design, including modelling software such as PowerCAD and AGi32/DIALux.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
  • The ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage competing project priorities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive and solution‑focused mindset.

  • Join a globally recognised consultancy with strong career growth pathways
  • Be part of a collaborative, high‑performing team with a strong pipeline of work
