Job summary

San Clemente Catholic College Mayfield is seeking a temporary part-time Secondary English/Religious Teacher to join the team, working every Friday from January 2027 for 12 months. The College, a Catholic school in the Dominican tradition, serves Years 7-11 in 2026 and will welcome Year 12 in 2027 as it develops into a Years 7-12 school.

Qualifications

• Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
• Ability to plan and prepare contemporary and compliant teaching programs and assessments in nominated areas; addressing diverse student needs.
• Demonstrated ability to use assessment and school data to improve educational outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with school staff and the wider community to achieve outcomes.
• Demonstrate an innovative and agile mindset supporting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote the school as a place of learning and excellence within contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles.
• Support ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices impacting student learning outcomes.
• Ensure alignment with Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
