Job summary

SA Health's Bordertown Memorial Hospital is seeking a casual Services Assistant to support catering, cleaning and laundry duties in the health unit. The role covers meal service, timely delivery, dietary considerations and general housekeeping within a community hospital setting.

No prior catering or housekeeping experience is required as on-the-job training is provided. The casual pool operates on a rolling basis for 12 months with a review by a selection panel.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation, service, and delivery of meals, including breakfast, soups, and quick-serve foods.
Ensuring that food is plated and delivered promptly, while also responding to client dietary requirements with care.
Performing general cleaning duties, including high window cleaning and carpet shampooing, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for clients.
Supporting laundry tasks like washing, folding, ironing, and delivering clean linen.
Completing minor sewing repairs and assisting with stock recording.
