Job summary

The Westin Perth is seeking a Catering Events Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will lead planning, execution and coordination of the hotel’s events and internal functions, driving client satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities include managing event inquiries, creating tailored banquet orders, and collaborating with sales to convert leads into bookings. A strong leadership presence and a passion for service are essential.

Position Summary
  • Rise with us and be responsible for managing the planning, execution & coordination of all the hotel’s events, internal functions and social events
  • Manage the department’s event enquiries in an efficient and effective manner
  • Lead the team to create detailed Banquet Event Orders that are tailored to client requirements
  • Work closely with the sales team to maximise all potential business leads
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new guests, creating intimate and distinctive experiences to enable future bookings
  • Support the hotel’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty and overall wellbeing by engaging and inspiring guests through each customer experience
  • Ensure you and the team uphold all company policies and procedures and complete all required managerial tasks in a prompt & thorough manner.
  • Be an empowering leader by providing motivation and support to the team
  • Plan and execute team building activities for associates, creating a people-first environment and enhancing their overall wellbeing
  • Inspire the Events team to provide quality service and exceed guest expectations
  • Liaise with stakeholders and clients as the main point of contact for events & functions
