Job summary

Scalabrini Communities in Griffith, NSW, is seeking passionate Catering Assistants to join our Griffith Village on a casual basis. You will work closely with the Executive Chef Manager to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, ensuring high-quality presentation and responsive service.

The role involves food preparation, plating, delivering meals, stock rotation, and helping maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in food preparation in a commercial kitchen, preferably in aged care or health services.
• Good communication and customer service orientation.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents.
• Assist with food preparation, plating and delivering meals to dining areas.
• Provide attentive customer service and ensure residents feel welcomed.
• Comply with food safety regulations and standards.
• Assist with stock control, rotation of stock and receipting deliveries.
