Bupa New Farm, a charming aged care home in Brisbane, is seeking a dedicated catering assistant to provide meals with empathy and personal care for residents. The role supports dining services, hygiene practices, and team collaboration to enhance residents’ health and wellbeing.

Previous hospitality experience is valued; Cert III Hospitality is preferred. This on-site role offers varied shifts and opportunities for career development within Bupa.

About the Home

Bupa New Farm is a charming care home situated in an inner suburb of Brisbane. Our home is close to the beautiful Brisbane River and Brisbane CBD with transport links nearby. It consists of 86 beds, a with various care units such as dementia, respite, and palliative. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

Use your fantastic catering skills in a role where you really can make a difference. Provide our residents with an empathetic and personal approach.

Duties

• Assist with basic food prep
• Provide meals and snacks
• Clear dining areas and dishwashing
• Maintain legislated food hygiene and safety practices
• Ad hoc support to the broader team as required, including laundry and cleaning

Skills and Experience

• Cert III Hospitality highly regarded
• Aged care experience highly regarded but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
• Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
