Blacktown City Council is seeking a Catering Assistant to support daily programs and events across our facilities. You will prepare and serve food and beverages, set up kiosks, process sales, and assist with customer enquiries in a fast-paced setting.
This casual role offers an entry-level salary starting at $31.0232 per hour with 25% casual loading, weekend penalties, ongoing training, and a strong focus on safety and customer service.

As a Catering Assistant, you help create a positive experience for the many people who visit our venues each day. You prepare and serve food and beverages, set up kiosks and catering areas, process customer sales, answer enquiries and help keep refreshment areas clean, safe and welcoming. You work as part of the catering team to support daily programs, activities and events across our facilities.
You work in a busy, high-volume environment with more than 1 million visits each year. During peak periods, you prepare food, restock products, rotate stock, check deliveries, complete catering administration and operate point of sale and cash handling systems. You clean tables, empty bins, maintain food safety and hygiene standards, and ensure kitchen and servery equipment is set up, used and stored correctly.

You work closely with colleagues, follow established procedures and contribute to high standards of customer service and food safety.
