Job summary

Lutheran Services is seeking a Catering Assistant for the Northridge Aged Care team in Toowoomba, QLD. The role is permanent part-time, delivering warm meal service to residents and supporting kitchen operations.

You will help with meal preparation, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and work with the Chef and team to ensure smooth dining experiences. Experience in catering or aged care is preferred and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Job description

Bring your passion for food and service to our Northridge Aged Care team. As a Catering Assistant, you’ll help create enjoyable dining experiences that brighten the days of our residents.

Location: Toowoomba- QLD

Role Type: Permanent Part Time | 48 hrs Fortnight

Remuneration: $28.32 – $30.58 ph + Super + Salary Packaging + Shift Penalties + Staff discounts & benefits.

Work Roster:
Week 1: Tuesday (12:30 pm - 7:00 pm) | Wednesday, Friday & Saturday (8:00 am - 2:30 pm)
Week 2: Thursday (1:20pm - 7:00pm) | Wednesday, Friday & Saturday (8:00 am - 2:30 pm)

What You’ll Do:

• Support meal preparation and service with warmth and care.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
• Work closely with the Chef and other team members to ensure smooth mealtimes.
• Engage respectfully with residents and provide friendly, person-centred service.

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous experience in a catering or aged care kitchen environment (preferred).
