Job summary

Ausco Modular is seeking an experienced procurement category lead to develop and implement category strategies for steel, wood products, transport services, and construction sub-contractor services. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver cost-effective solutions and optimise performance.

The role requires at least 5 years in category management or procurement, strong negotiation and relationship skills, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Category Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage complex change projects.
• Experience in procurement processes and delivering results against targets.
• Degree qualification in Business, Commerce, or Supply Chain preferred.
• CIPS Level 4 Diploma or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and align on category strategies and sourcing activities.
• Develop, implement, and maintain category strategies aligned with business requirements.
• Conduct market analysis, end to end sourcing, and supplier negotiations to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Negotiate, implement and manage contracts with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage supplier relationships and service delivery.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and meet procurement objectives and targets.
• Promote Health, Safety, Environmental, and ESG initiatives within the category.
• Support global improvement projects and procurement strategies.

Your new role
