Fortescue is seeking a Contracts & Procurement Senior Specialist in Mining Services to provide senior advisory and leadership on procurement, focusing on mining services contracts. The role supports category strategy and strategic procurement for mobile equipment.

You will manage contract processes, lead supplier relationships, drive end-to-end sourcing and negotiations while ensuring governance and risk management across procurement activities.

• 7+ years’ experience in a procurement role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

• Understanding of procurement governance, practices and processes.
• Qualification in Law, Business or Commerce is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Supplier relationship management – lead value through management of key supplier relationships.
• Category management and strategic sourcing – develop category strategies aligned with Fortescue objectives and manage end-to-end sourcing.
• Negotiation – lead effective negotiations on high value/high risk contracts.
• Apply critical thinking to sourcing strategies and timelines to improve project outcomes (time, cost, quality, efficiency).
• Governance and risk management – ensure objectives through governance and risk treatment.
• Analysis & reporting – analyze and report procurement data for mobile equipment lifecycle.
• Partnering – build credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday - 12 month contract

As Contracts & Procurement Senior Specialist, Mining Services, you will provide senior specialist procurement advice and leadership on Fortescue's Mining Services category to assist stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage contract arrangements to effectively meet business objectives.

This role will also assist with category strategy development and implementation of strategic procurement activities supporting Fortescue’s mobile equipment categories.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract management – developing and applying processes, procedures, systems, and knowledge to ensure optimum commercial benefit and minimal commercial risk.
• Supplier relationship management - lead and deliver value through effective management of key supplier relationships.
• Category management and strategic sourcing – lead the development of category strategies that are aligned with Fortescue business objectives and manage and lead the end-to-end sourcing process.
• Negotiation – lead and apply an effective negotiation process and an understanding of each party’s position to engage with suppliers on high risk and/or high value contracts.
• Critical thinking: You will apply critical thinking to the sourcing strategies and timelines that you support and influence sourcing and procurement planning to drive project improvement including to time, cost, quality, consistency, efficiency and clarity.
• Governance and risk management - ensure business objectives are met through effective governance, compliance management and the identification, assessment, and treatment of risk.
• Analysis & reporting - effective analysis and reporting of relevant data at all stages of the procurement lifecycle as it relates to mobile equipment.
• Partnering - create and maintain credible and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure full alignment of procurement effort with business needs and opportunities.

Qualifications And Experience

• Effectively self-manage with an ability to efficiently manage priorities.
• 7 + years’ experience in a procurement role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
• Show a level of resilience to challenging circumstances.
• Demonstrate how your experience to date will positively contribute to you being successful in this role and an understanding of procurement practices, governance, and processes
• Qualification in Law, Business or Commerce is desirable.
