Job summary

Myer is seeking an experienced Product Developer (Category Buyer - Cook and Kitchen) to lead the end-to-end category plan and drive profitability for cookware and kitchen ranges. You will manage exclusive brand development, including order placement, production cycles, and financial performance, across our Myer portfolio.

You'll research trends, negotiate with suppliers, ensure quality and compliance, and collaborate with planning and marketing teams to optimise assortment and trading terms that

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in fashion textiles, merchandise management, marketing, business or commerce.
• Solid experience in product development across cookware and kitchen.
• Strong business and financial acumen with understanding of retail systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Myer Exclusive Brands in line with brand DNA, including order placement, financial performance and end-to-end production cycle.
• Research product trends and competitive landscape to identify relevant trends for the brand.
• Effectively negotiate cost prices with suppliers to drive product profitability.
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance requirements are consistently met or exceeded.
• Identify and recommend the most appropriate marketing and communications approach to sell the current portfolio in line with Myer strategy.
• Work closely with planning team to determine assortment plans, conduct PSA and assist in building the product strategy.
• Establish strong supplier relationships and negotiate trading terms that meet commercial targets.
• Maintain solid competitor and trend analysis to ensure range remains relevant for Myer customers.
