Job summary

Macmahon in Perth, WA is seeking a skilled Workshop Mechanic to perform CAT engine rebuilds and mentor a trades team. You will work with experienced peers to ensure safe, efficient maintenance and high equipment availability across sites.

The role requires a Cert III in Mobile Plant, LF licence, CAT systems knowledge, and a collaborative safety focus. Attractive roster options, annual bonuses, parental leave and discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Cert III in Mobile Plant) required.
• High Risk LF licence is essential.
• DG licence is advantageous.
• Proven experience working on CAT earthmoving equipment.
• Experience with Caterpillar Systems ET, SIS and VIMS.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Component rebuilds on CAT engines: strip, clean & assemble.
• Complete servicing to OEM standards and site procedures.
• Support equipment availability and safe, reliable performance.
• Speak up and contribute to a safe work culture; everyone goes home safe.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to schedule work.
