WaterNSW is seeking 2x Fire Tower Operators (Casual) to join the Land Operations team. You will monitor for fires, report findings, collect weather data, and support response operations with clear communications to protect WaterNSW land assets and the environment.

Role includes 1 in 3-week roster (7 days on/14 days off), travel within local areas, and working outside hours. Benefits include enterprise agreement perks and casual loading with superannuation.

Formación

• Advanced firefighter Certificate or higher or equivalent experience in wildfire operations.
• Experience in radio communication procedures and reading maps accurately.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence is required.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure early detection and location of fires and report these without delay during the fire season.
• Support wildfire response operations with weather data and fire behaviour observations.
• Use WaterNSW communication systems to protect land assets and environment.
• Monitor weather characteristics and recommend actions to protect assets.
