Job summary

Veterinary Specialist Services is seeking Casual Veterinary Nurses for an immediate start at Underwood, working across medicine, inpatient care, emergency and surgical departments with a team of specialists to ensure gold standard patient care at all times.

Shifts include weekdays, nights and weekends with a competitive hourly rate. We offer flexible rosters, access to in-house training, mentoring opportunities and a values-based team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technologist degree.
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Rotate across medicine, inpatient care, emergency and surgical departments.

Veterinary Specialist Services – Underwood QLD

Veterinary Specialist Services is an established Small Animal referral practice in South East Queensland. We have hospitals at Carrara, Jindalee, and Underwood. We are striving to create an environment where people can do their best work. Our teams are very passionate about delivering patient care and support each other to do it. We have a very diverse skill set and can offer just about all specialities, diagnostic modalities, and therapies across our practice group. We have residency training programs for vets, in house training programs for nurses and internships where many of our interns have progressed to become registered Specialists. We are involved in the industry with wide participation in professional groups, universities, continuing education courses and we run our own annual conference.

About the Role

Shifts available for weekdays, nights and weekends. These roles will be rotating between our medicine, inpatient care, emergency and surgical departments. You would be working alongside a team of veterinary specialists to ensure gold standard patient care is achieved at all times.

What We're Looking For

• A nurse with a minimum of Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technologist degree with a keen interest in critical care, surgery and anaesthesia.
