Job summary

Harbour City Veterinary Surgery in Gladstone, QLD, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our busy team in a casual role, approximately 30 hours per week. The position offers a pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate and a chance to work in a supportive rural clinic.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technology degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of veterinary nursing experience.
• Strong surgical and anaesthesia nursing skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to mentor and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Anaesthetic monitoring and patient care.
• Pre- and post-operative nursing.
• Collecting and processing blood and urine samples using IDEXX equipment.
• Radiology.
• Administering medications and treatments.
• Patient admissions and discharges.
• Assisting with cleaning and reception duties as required.
