Excelsia University College – Pennant Hills NSW is seeking a Casual Social Work Field Education Liaison Officer to oversee field education placements for social work students. The role involves coordinating placement structure, learning goals and assessments, and supporting student reflection and practice integration.

Based in Pennant Hills, the casual position requires alignment with Excelsia’s Christian mission and a minimum five years post-qualifying experience, with membership in the AASW

• Field Educators must be eligible for full membership of the AASW.

• Experience in a higher education setting would be an advantage.

• An understanding of current and emerging trends in Social Work.
• Technological literacy in a wide range of desktop applications to support reporting and analysis role requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and cooperatively work with colleagues from diverse cultural, religious, gender and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Full Australian Working Rights.

About the Role

Primary responsibilities include:

• To provide general oversight of the field education placement for specific students undertaking their social work field education placements.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

• Field Educators must be eligible for full membership of the AASW.
