Job summary

Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is seeking casual Sheet Metal Workers for outage work in Gladstone, QLD. You will perform routine and reactive maintenance on plant equipment, fabricating and installing sheet metal components, ducting, cladding, hoppers, chutes and guards.

Successful candidates join a casual pool for ongoing opportunities. The role requires a Trade Certificate III in Fabrication, a valid Drivers Licence, White Card, and recent training in Working at Heights & Confined Spaces,

Qualifications

• Sheet metal fabrication knowledge or experience.
• Trade Certificate III – Fabrication Trade required.
• White Card / Construction Induction current.
• Working at Heights and Confined Spaces training completed within last 2 years.
• Must be able to obtain a QLD Explosives Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on plant equipment in an outage environment.
• Fabricate, install, repair and replace sheet metal components, ducting, cladding, hoppers, chutes, guards and equipment casings.
• Join casual pool for ongoing outage opportunities.
