Job summary

Lycée Condorcet Sydney is seeking to expand its casual teaching pool for secondary education across a range of subjects. The role welcomes both English-speaking and French-speaking teachers, with bilingual skills highly regarded in our unique French-Australian international school environment.

Qualifications

• NESA accreditation is required.
• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Year 6 to Year 12.
• IB and/or French education system knowledge desirable.
• Experience in international schools beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide casual teaching cover across the school year.
• Teach across multiple secondary year levels and subjects.

Job Description

We are looking to build a strong pool of qualified teachers who are available to provide casual teaching cover throughout the school year. Current LCS Secondary teachers are also encouraged to express their interest in taking on additional casual teaching opportunities, where their timetable and availability allow.

We are particularly interested in teachers with experience teaching one or more of the following subjects:

• Arts
• Music
• French
• French Literature
• German
• Spanish
• Latin
• Mathematics
• Philosophy
• History
• Geography
• Economics
• Physical Education
• Biology
• IB subjects

We welcome applications from both English-speaking and French-speaking teachers. Bilingual English/French skills would be highly regarded.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you: Ideally

• NESA accreditation is required
• Have experience teaching students from Year 6 to Year 12
• Are qualified and experienced in their subject area
• Can adapt quickly to different classes, year levels and learning needs
• Are enthusiastic, reliable and committed to providing a positive learning experience for students
• Have an understanding of, or experience with, the International Baccalaureate (IB) and/or French education system, where relevant
• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent, with previous experience teaching to Secondary School students (up to and including Year 12)
• Exposure to teaching in an international school would be beneficial
