Job summary

The Salvation Army in Hamilton, NSW, is seeking a talented, values-driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the role offers a casual arrangement with pay and conditions in line with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 1. Key duties include POS operation, sorting and pricing donations, merchandising, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• High energy with strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work a rolling roster including weekends
• Preparedness to work across multiple locations in the retail area

About the Role

An opportunity for a talented, values-driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this casual role is based in Hamilton, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation
• Provide exceptional Customer Service
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities

About You

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential
• Strong customer service skills
• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results
• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity
• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends
