Qualifications

Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated competence in nursing practice.
Experience working with clients with complex health care needs.
Experience providing care involving tracheostomy, oxygen therapy and ventilation.
Knowledge of nursing standards, legislation, and quality improvement practices.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs, plan and coordinate services including other disciplines.
Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance client safety.
Provide health promotion and education to clients or groups.
Participate in evaluative research within the practice setting.
Review decisions and recommendations from less experienced nurses and students.
