Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking a Casual Research Data Officer based at Herston, Brisbane. You will support the Infection Prevention and Vascular Access Group by handling health data, developing data capture systems and maintaining data quality.

You will collaborate with statisticians and researchers, contribute to funding applications, publications and conference materials, and manage data with privacy standards while working both independently and with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, biostatistics, epidemiology or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience with health data and data management.
• Skills in IT for database development and research data management.
• Interest in innovative data architecture combining datasets.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support quantitative data analysis for systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
• Design, develop, test and maintain electronic data capture systems with quality checks and data extraction.
• Monitor data quality, run descriptive stats, produce data quality reports and assist with secure backups.
• Assist statisticians with data preparation for DBS reports and contribute to funding applications and manuscripts.
