Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to work across AM, PM and Night shifts at our Greystanes facility.

Carry out initial and ongoing assessment, plan and manage nursing care for residents, develop personal care plans, and monitor changes to ensure quality outcomes.

You will complete documentation, contribute to ACFI processes, and work within a multidisciplinary team, upholding person-centred care and residents' dignity.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Sound knowledge of medication management and clinical documentation.
• Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A commitment to person-centred care and maintaining residents' dignity, choice and independence.
• Ability to work independently and make appropriate clinical decisions.
• A positive, professional and respectful approach to residents, families and colleagues.
• Current police check and other employment screening requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial and ongoing assessment, planning, and management of nursing care for residents.
• Develop personal care plans to ensure residents’ individual needs are identified and met, and monitor any changes in care plans.
• Participate in quarterly care plan evaluations, or more frequently as needed.
• Ensure all documentation required for quality care is prepared, maintained, monitored, evaluated, and up to date in accordance with SCC policies and procedures.
• Ensure completion and accuracy of all ACFI claims.
