Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Support – Sutherland NSW is seeking a Registered Nurse to take on flexible shifts in the community setting. Visits may be one-off or ongoing, including short 1–2 hour visits, with duties spanning continence and wound care assessments.

Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration, First Aid and CPR certificates, and be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check. NSW driver’s license and vehicle are desirable.

• Ideal for RNs who are currently working in the hospital and looking for extra shifts.
• Visits may be one-off or ongoing, with some services being as short as 1-2 hours.
• Candidates must be able to perform continence and wound care assessments.

Required Qualifications:

• Current AHPRA registration.
• First Aid and CPR certificates.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain).

About You:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in the community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in community, aged care, disability, or primary health care is highly regarded.
• Current driver's licence and own vehicle desirable.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Nursing and a minimum of 1 year experience working as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous experience in a Community RN role.
• Experience in nasogastric tube care, tracheostomy care, ventilator care, medication management, wound care, suctioning, and feeding machine.
• Ability to provide comprehensive and coordinated nursing services in the general practice setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team with highly developed communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in Aged Care or Community Services.
