Job summary

Baseball Queensland is expanding its regional workforce and is seeking energetic, reliable people to join our team as Casual Development Officers across regional Queensland.

Most delivery occurs during weekday school hours in schools, clubs and communities, with additional opportunities before/after school or at events. You do not need an extensive baseball background; enthusiasm, safety and positive engagement are valued.

Qualifications

• Energetic and confident in engaging groups of children.
• Reliable, organised and professional in delivery.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passionate about sport and creating positive experiences for young people.
• Flexible with availability and able to deliver physical activity sessions.
• Coaching/teaching/community sport experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging baseball, Baseball5 and introductory activities in schools.
• Support Sporting Schools programs, clinics and participation initiatives.
• Promote local clubs and help create pathways from schools into community sport.
• Assist with Come & Try Days, holiday programs and community events.
• Support Baseball Queensland regional programs and initiatives.
• Work alongside local development officers and stakeholders.
• Set up and pack down equipment and maintain a safe delivery environment.
• Represent Baseball Queensland professionally in schools and the wider community.
