Job summary

ALM Fyshwick, part of Metcash’s Australian Liquor Marketers, is seeking a Casual Reach Truck Forklift Operator to support our warehouse during the busiest trading period. Shift start times are 5:00am or 8:30am, Monday to Friday, at Fyshwick in the Australian Capital Territory.

Applicants must hold a current LF Forklift Licence with at least 12 months' reach truck experience. Counterbalance-only experience is not suitable.

• Minimum 12 months' recent reach truck experience.
• Availability to work throughout December and January.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach truck forklifts to complete stock put-aways and stock movements.
• Pick and stage orders accurately to support customer deliveries.
• Load, unload and move inventory safely within the warehouse.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stock control.
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Support housekeeping to keep the warehouse clean, safe and organised.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily targets.

About the Opportunity

Join ALM Fyshwick as a Casual Reach Truck Forklift Operator and play a key role in keeping our warehouse operation moving during our busiest trading period. Shift start times are either 5:00am or 8:30am across Monday-Friday.

We're looking for candidates with a current LF Forklift Licence and at least 12 months' recent reach truck experience. Due to operational requirements, candidates with only counterbalance forklift experience will not be suitable.

In this Role

• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Support housekeeping activities to ensure a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
• Work collaboratively with the wider warehouse team to meet daily operational targets.

You're Likely a Match If

• Minimum 12 months' recent experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse environment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced distribution centre or warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work early starts from 5:00am when required.
• Availability to work throughout December and January
