About The Role

Department Name and Location: Correctional Health Pharmacy, Parklea Correctional Centre

Salary: $61,889.52 to $63,725.98 base salary per annum.

About The Role:

Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high-quality patient centred care.
The successful applicant will be expected to be able to distribute and assist in the preparation and dispensing processes for prescribed medications, manage medication inventory and ordering supplies, and undertake pharmacy administrative work, including but not limited to scanning scripts, preparing transfer medication and reconciling orders.
The successful applicant must be available to work rotational shifts, Monday to Sunday including public holidays.

About You

Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
Qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or Certificate III or IV issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital and Community Pharmacy or equivalent qualifications or experience, with the ability to work a rotating roster.
Demonstrated understanding and experience of dispensing/issuing of pharmaceuticals in a hospital or community pharmacy setting or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements relating to pharmaceuticals.
The ability to contribute to quality assurance activities, initiatives that support the practice and development of the pharmacy team at St Vincent's Correctional Health.

In this role you will be based at Parklea Correctional Centre.

A major Sydney prison with capacity for 1,800 male patients.
Our team of clinical & non-clinical employees provide high quality & compassionate care to the inmates.
