Lyrebird Village in Drouin, VIC is seeking a Casual Personal Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, mobility, and dignity. You’ll join a compassionate team and work flexible shifts, contributing to high-quality, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Experience in aged care desirable.
• Passion for providing high-quality care to older people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles.
• Current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Supporting residents with mobility, transfers, and safe manual handling.
• Assisting with meals, hydration, and daily living activities.
• Building meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Observing changes in health, wellbeing, and behaviour.
