As a casual chef, you’ll work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and play an essential role during busy periods. Join us to contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintain high standards, and collaborate closely with the Sous Chef and staff to ensure top-quality service

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation meet Café Lewi's standards
• Follow recipes and food specifications accurately to prepare various dishes.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area, ensuring that all kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitised
• Help monitor ingredient levels, assist with stock rotation, and alert the Owners or Café Manager when supplies need replenishing
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure the kitchen operates safely and complies with health regulations
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, including the Sous Chef, and other kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations during service hours
• Ensure that all dishes served meet the highest quality standards and contribute to an outstanding customer dining experience
• Be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, depending on the café's needs
