Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is recruiting Educators to join the Yugumbir Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis. You’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during holidays, with a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities.

This role supports children’s social learning and creativity, under a not-for-profit banner that emphasises wellbeing and community impact. Professional development and coaching are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive space for children
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
• Run or assist with activities during Vacation Care
• Create a welcoming, inclusive space where children feel safe and supported
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play
