Job summary

YMCA Brisbane invites energetic Educators to join the Calamvale Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis. You’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays.

As part of a not-for-profit organisation with a strong community focus, you’ll supervise activities, support children's wellbeing and confidence through play, and work between 6.00am–9.00am and 2.00pm–6.00pm.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play
