GenesisCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Albury clinic on a casual basis, as part of a supportive nursing team. The role welcomes experienced oncology nurses but trainings in radiation oncology nursing will be provided to the right candidate.

This position focuses on patient-centred care, with emphasis on education, wound management, and collaboration with doctors, patient services, physicists and radiation therapists to deliver excellent outcomes.

Qualifications

• Be an AHPRA-registered nurse with current registration.
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience preferred.
• Background in oncology nursing is desirable but training will be provided.
• Exemplary interpersonal communication and empathy for patients and families.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to NSQHS principles and continuous professional development.
• Experience in wound care management is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent patient care addressing physical and psychological needs.
• Deliver direct patient care including education, wound management, and medication administration as per Practice Protocol.
• Manage daily patient load effectively.
• Maintain clear communication with doctors, patient services, physicists and radiation therapists; provide timely updates.
• Document all patient interactions and ensure actions are followed through.
• Maintain and update adherence to procedures and clinical guidelines in line with radiation oncology nursing standards.
• Ensure medication management protocols are followed.
• Use ISBAR for patient handovers and liaise with allied health services.
