Job summary

Naracoorte Health Service, part of the Limestone Coast Local Health Network, is seeking casual Assistants in Nursing to support Acute and Aged Care units.

In this casual pool role you will assist Enrolled and Registered Nurses with daily living activities, provide person-centred care, and help with nursing procedures and stock management while maintaining strong communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current enrolment in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery program (2nd or 3rd year) or
• Completion of training relevant to the safe and competent performance of nursing duties or
• A Certificate III or IV in Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, Individual Support Work, or other approved health-related qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily living activities and basic nursing duties.
• Providing person-centred care to our patients/clients.
• Performing routine technical support functions, including setting up for nursing procedures and managing local stock levels.
• Maintaining effective communication within our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
