Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council is seeking a Casual Library Assistant to join a great team. Reporting to the Senior Library Officer – Customer Services, the role participates in the delivery of responsive, high quality library services and programs while collaborating with colleagues in the Arts and Culture Branch.

You will bring strong communication and organisational skills, and the right to live and work in Australia, along with a Class C driver’s licence and WWCC.

Qualifications

• Higher School Certificate
• Excellent public manner and ability to communicate well with a wide range of people
• Ability to determine customer needs and achieve quality outcomes
• Ability to work with adults and children
• Ability to carry out duties and responsibilities with minimum supervision on a day-to-day basis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to become skilled with unfamiliar software
• The right to live and work in Australia
• Class C Drivers Licence
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Successful applicants will undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
