Job summary

CQUniversity is seeking dedicated Casual Learning Advisers to provide tailored tutorial assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Program (ITAP).

You will deliver personalised academic support to students across SUN, STEPS, undergraduate and postgraduate programs, mentoring them to strengthen academic capability and confidence. This casual pool invites expressions of interest until 30 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Completed qualification at the level you tutor (e.g., Bachelor’s degree for Bachelor-level courses).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities, with sensitive communication.
• Blue Card (Working with Children) clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored tutorial assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through ITAP.
• Deliver personalised academic support across SUN, STEPS, undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Mentor students and foster a culturally safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
