Job summary
Mercy Community Services is seeking casual Community Care Workers to service clients in the Bribie and Caboolture region. Roles require early starts (7:00am) and involve visiting clients in their homes to follow care plans and support their goals.
Successful applicants will have Certificate III in Ageing, own transport (with a valid Queensland licence and insurance), and current First Aid/CPR. Positive history checks are required; benefits include salary packaging and supportive employer
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support – Ageing (or studying towards equivalent)
- Experience with clients with cognitive and/or physical limitations
- Own vehicle with Queensland Provisional Green or higher licence and comprehensive insurance
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certificates or willingness to obtain
- Ability to obtain positive notice in required history checks
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with care requirements per their care plans
- Support transportation and community access
- Monitor client condition and report changes
- Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance including medication administration, manual handling and domestic tasks
