Shifts operate on a 24/7 roster with casual loading of 25% and additional employee benefits. Applicants should be compassionate, resilient and committed to community outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or equivalent in child, youth and family work or willingness to obtain.
• Understanding trauma, attachment and impact on development.
• Experience supporting young people with complex needs in relevant settings.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and crisis management skills.
• Current Australian Driver Licence and ability to obtain checks.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with young people and support daily routines.
• Create safe, engaging and nurturing home environments.
• Encourage participation in education, recreation and community activities.
• Respond to challenges with empathy and trauma-informed approaches.
• Operate across a 24/7 roster including evenings, weekends and sleepovers.
