Job summary

Uniting OSHC Greystanes is seeking a Casual Educator with flexible availability to join our friendly team. This fixed-term contract role supports before and after school care for up to 120 children, with shifts across 7:00am–9:00am and 2:55pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The role requires GECKKO training, certificate credentials, and commitment to our child-safe values. Applicants should have OSHC experience, be adaptable, empathetic and capable of communicating effectively with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children Services preferred.
• Experience working in the OSHC industry highly regarded.
• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships supporting children, families and community.
• Facilitate play-based learning environments responsive to children's interests, strengths and abilities.
• Document children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.

About The Opportunity

Uniting OSHC Greystanes has a long-standing connection with the local community and is a welcoming place where children’s voices are heard and families feel connected.

We’re looking for a Casual Educator with flexible availability to join our friendly team. This is a fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.

Our service provides Before and After School Care for up to 120 children.

Our Operating Hours

• 7:00am - 9:00am, Monday to Friday
• 2:55pm - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

Your Work May Include

• Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
• Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
• Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes

Who We’re Looking For

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children Services (preferred)
• Experience working in the OSHC industry
• Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
• Completed GECKKO training
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
