Balnarring ELC, part of Mayfield Childcare Limited, is seeking a Casual Early Childhood Educator to join a warm, community-focused team. You will foster safe, engaging environments and deliver play-based learning in line with EYLF, while building strong relationships with families and colleagues.

The role emphasizes flexibility across hours, dedication to child safety, and involvement in ongoing professional development within a values-driven organisation.

Formación

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• WWCC current or willing to obtain.
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications current or willing to obtain.
• Understanding of NQF and EYLF; commitment to child safety.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

Casual Early Childhood Educator - Balnarring ELC

The Opportunity

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children
• Use active supervision to support children’s safety and wellbeing
• Collaborate with fellow educators to deliver meaningful, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and your team
• Support children’s individual needs, interests, and development
• Guide behaviour with a positive and responsive approach

About You

You’re someone who brings warmth, reliability, and a genuine passion for early education. You enjoy being part of a team and stepping in where needed to support quality outcomes for children.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

• Availability to work Monday to Friday between 6:30am and 6:30pm (flexibility across these hours is essential)
• A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) – or currently working towards
• A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Completed (or willingness to complete):
  • Child Protection Training
  • Red Nose Safe Sleeping Training
  • Food Safety Certification
• A sound understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Knowledge of Child Safe Standards and a commitment to child safety
• Strong communication skills and a relationship-focused approach
