We are seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide person-centred support across individual, residential, and day program settings making a real difference to the lives of the people we support throughout the Goulburn Valley.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker with ConnectGV, you will:
- Provide person-centred active support to individuals across residential homes, day programs, and one-on-one community settings, aligned with their personal goals and support plans.
- Support daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication assistance, transport, and active participation in community and social activities.
- Promote and uphold the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of the individuals we support in all environments.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere whether in the home, in the community, or within a program setting.
Our Services
At ConnectGV, we offer a range of person-centred support services designed to empower individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. These include:
- Day Services – Delivered at our Bowenhall Street location, Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm, focusing on skill-building, social engagement, and meaningful daily activities.
- Individual Supports – One-on-one assistance provided daily, Monday to Sunday, tailored to support community access, personal development, and the achievement of individual goals.
- Residential Services – 24/7 support provided across our various supported accommodation homes throughout the Shepparton area, fostering a safe, inclusive, and home-like living environment.
About You
We are looking for people who are:
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to supporting others.
- Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts across different settings, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleepovers, active nights, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure flexible and consistent support.
- Team players who can also work independently.
- Confident in assisting with personal care and health support (training provided where required).
- Able to communicate clearly and build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Community or Health Services (or other relevant field) – desirable, but not essential.
- Experience in the disability, community, health or aged care sector.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Employee Working with Children check
- National Criminal History Check (Police check)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
