Job summary

Yorke and Northern Local Health Network is seeking a Direct Care Worker on a casual basis at our Residential Care Home in Yorke and Mid North, SA. The role focuses on delivering compassionate care and support to residents, following care plans, and ensuring comfort and dignity.

You will work as part of a team, assisting with personal care, mobility, medications, and daily activities. This position offers casual contracts until April 2027 and pays $32.90–$34.80 per hour plus 25% casual loading.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct care and resident support is valued.
• Ability to work respectfully with diverse residents.
• Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Support personal care, hygiene, grooming, toileting, mobility and transfers.
• Assist with glasses, hearing aids and self-administration of medications.
• Support routine treatments and residents with special needs.
• Distribute clean laundry and attire; maintain equipment and personal items.
• Provide transport assistance for clients as needed.
