Job summary

NSW Health is seeking Casual Diploma Qualified Educators for Westmead Hospital’s Westmeadow Child Care Centre. You will provide care for children 0–5 years, covering planned and unplanned absences, and work across rotating shifts within a supportive education and care team.

The role offers NSW Health (State) Award remuneration of $30.97–$35.05 per hour, salary packaging options, and staff development opportunities aimed at strengthening professional practice within a government sector setting.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved diploma level qualification in children’s services.
• Applied knowledge of early education and care with reference to the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Ability to work rotating shifts across the services operating hours.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team of educators to deliver an education and care service.
• Approved child protection qualification (Statement of Attainment).
• Current first aid and emergency anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications/training.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.

Our Child Care Services provide work based early education and care services onsite at Westmead, Blacktown, and Mt Druitt Hospitals.Responsive play-based programs and learning environments, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, are provided for children 0 - 5 years.

We are seeking Casual Diploma Qualified Educators to fill planned and unplanned absences at Westmeadow Child Care Centre a long day care service located at Westmead Hospital. Applicants must be available and authorised to work across all days of the working week.
