Job summary

Mercy Health in Werribee is seeking Casual Grade 1 or 2 Dietitians to join our multidisciplinary team. Casual shifts available with salary as per Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, dependent on grade.

You will hold a nutrition and dietetics qualification, be eligible for Dietitians Australia/APD, and have hospital experience. You’ll deliver patient-centred care, collaborate with obstetric and general medicine teams, and contribute to quality improvement and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent.
• Master of Dietetics or equivalent qualification.
• Eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia and APD status.
• Relevant work experience in a hospital setting.
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
• Provision of Police Check and Working with Children Check, and vaccination status as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality evidenced based, patient centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate across maternity, acute and subacute services.
• Contribute to learning culture within the Dietetics team.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Master of Dietetics or equivalent qualification.
• Eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia and APD status.
• Relevant work experience in a hospital setting.
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• High level working knowledge of current evidence-based practices and a commitment to quality improvement, clinical research and professional development of self and others.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
