About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive, energetic, mature and professional part-time dental receptionist/nurse to work as part of our growing team. This role will be busy and hands-on with a focus on delivering premium customer service and building long-term patient relationships.

The ideal candidate will be well spoken, attentive to detail, have a warm, engaging personality and deliver a high standard of customer service.

The usual days will be; initially Thursday with a view to increase hours days

Candidates must be available to work 15-20 hours per week initially, with the potential for increased hours as the role develops.

Remuneration will be negotiated according to the experience and skill level of the successful applicant.

Experience is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sterilisation and infection control, adhering to the Practice infection control protocol
  • Clean and prepare the treatment room
  • Greeting patients in a warm, professional manner
  • Handling telephone enquiries, scheduling appointments and taking payments
  • Reporting to the Practice Manager and senior receptionist
  • Excellent listening, communication and grammatical skills
  • Interest and desire to work in the dental industry in a long-term role
  • The ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Exceptional, professional personal grooming
  • Fast learner who is able to learn and grow with constructive and positive feedback
  • Willingness to assist with other duties in the clinic on the occasion a staff member is sick
  • Well presented and maintains a high level of personal hygiene and grooming
  • Valid Australian work rights are required for this position
