Randstad Pty is actively seeking casual Cook roles across Adelaide and surrounding suburbs. You will prepare up to 3 meals daily for children, with potential involvement in menu planning and nutrition guidance.

No weekend or late-night shifts is a major benefit of this childcare environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (desirable).
• Experience cooking in childcare, aged care or hospitals.
• Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• Allergen aware and able to meet dietary and nutritional needs of children.
• Australian work rights and willingness to gain Working with Children Card.
• First Aid certificate highly regarded by some clients.
• Committed to Child Safeguarding and Mandatory Reporting responsibilities.
• Willingness to complete national Child Safety training and SA Child Protection training (RRHAN).
• Provide contact details of two professional referees who have managed you.

Do you love cooking and meal preparation? Have you considered using your skills within a childcare environment? We have Cook roles available now across Adelaide, Mawson Lakes, Prospect, Norwood, Magil, Unley, Black Forrest, Findon, Adelaide Airport, Marion and Surrounding Suburbs.

A huge benefit of working as a cook / chef, within the childcare industry is no weekend work or late night shifts.

You will need to be confident working alone and in preparing up to 3 meals per day for a large number of children. In addition to cooking, your knowledge may be required in aspects of menu planning and nutrition guidance.

About you:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly desirable)
• Experience cooking in childcare, aged care or hospitals
• Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Allergen aware as well as commitment to meet dietary, cultural and nutritional needs of children
• Available a minimum of 2 shifts per week
• Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
• Australian work rights and a willingness to gain your state based Working with Children Card
• Possession of a First Aid certificate is highly regarded by some of our clients
• Committed to Child Safeguarding and understanding of Mandatory Reporting responsibilities
• Willingness to completed national Child Safety training and SA Child Protection training (RRHAN)
• Able to provide contact details of two professional referees who have managed you and can speak to your work
