Job summary

genU is seeking a casual Chef to join our hospitality team at our North Geelong production kitchen. This hands-on role involves preparing quality food, supporting a diverse workforce and delivering consistent service across sites.

You'll work shifts from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with regular ongoing hours and opportunities across North, East and South Geelong sites. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and a valid driver's licence are required, with the role offering casual pay plus

Qualifications

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery required.
Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
Availability to work across hours 6:00am–6:00pm, Monday–Friday.
Experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
Strong communication skills and commitment to quality customer service.
Experience in production kitchen or catering.
Front of house, café or customer service experience.
Experience with stock control and food ordering.

Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality meals and food products in a large-scale production kitchen.
Support and mentor employees in a diverse workforce.
Assist with menu development, food preparation and stock control.
Maintain food safety, quality and hygiene standards.
