Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Casual Chef to lead a kitchen team in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and wellbeing of residents. You will supervise and train staff, ensure meals are prepared and served to Anglicare's standards, and uphold HACCP and WHS policies.

Qualifications

• Commercial Cookery Certificate (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years' experience in the food industry, including team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and WHS practices.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• Passionate about creating high-quality meals for older Australians.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and train kitchen staff to meet production and distribution deadlines.
• Ensure nutritious meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards (HACCP & WHS).
• Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Monitor food quality and suggest improvements to enhance dining for residents.
• Mentor your team and foster a cooperative and respectful work environment.
