Job summary

Crowne Plaza Canberra is seeking Casual Chefs at all levels to join our Food & Beverage team. You will work closely with the kitchen leadership team and assist in daily operations across Redsalt, Lume Bar, conferencing and room service.

Responsibilities include working in Grill, Pans and Larder, preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring HACCP compliance while leading collaboration with the kitchen team in a positive, can-do environment.

Qualifications

• Have working rights in Australia.
• Valid food handling certificates.
• Commercial cookery certification.
• Experience in hotel kitchen or similar culinary environment is desirable.
• Be able to work autonomously and collaborate with a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Work throughout the kitchen sections such as Grill, Pans and Larder.
• Produce high-quality food and presentation with a la carte dishes and buffet style.
• Follow kitchen and hotel policies, procedures and brand standards.
• Maintain daily cleaning throughout the kitchen.
• Lead collaboration with the kitchen team and foster a positive, productive work environment.
• Follow HACCP regulations and guidelines.
