Job summary

Cliftons Venues is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant for our Brisbane venue. You’ll work with the kitchen and events teams to assist with food prep, service, and event setups, with opportunities to step into coordinating staff when managers aren’t present. Most shifts run during weekday business hours, with occasional weekend work.

You will contribute to quality catering experiences, keep areas clean, and support staff to ensure smooth service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or commercial kitchen.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
• Clear communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and service at events and conferences
• Set up and break down catering areas, ensuring presentation is maintained
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen and service areas, including dishwashing and equipment care
• Coordinate staff and help keep service on track when managers are absent
