Job summary

Cater Care invites you to join the Gold Coast Recreation Precinct team in Tallebudgera as a Casual Catering Assistant. You will support catering operations for school camps, sporting teams and education groups, delivering friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

This casual role offers flexible shifts of about 20–30 hours per week, weekend and evening work, uniform provided, and ongoing training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a team.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some weekends and early evenings.
• Blue Card (Working with Children Check) as required for the role.
• Reliability, initiative and a commitment to maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily catering operations, including kitchen duties, dishwashing and general cleaning.
• Support meal and tray service, ensuring food is presented and delivered efficiently.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to students, staff, sporting teams and guests.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Work collaboratively with the team while confidently managing tasks independently when required.
